ABOUT

The Sonic Atelier is dedicated to conversations about sound. Through interviews with composers, producers, performers, and sound artists, it explores how contemporary creators define their artistic identity, how they work with technology, and how they navigate the changing landscape of music today.

Rather than focusing on careers or new releases, The Sonic Atelier is concerned with processes, aesthetics, and the deeper questions behind creation. Each dialogue opens a personal perspective while contributing to a collective archive of ideas, mapping the evolving sound ecosystem of our time.

The name atelier reflects the idea that today’s composers and producers are true artisans of sound: they shape, refine, and transform it with the same care and inventiveness that artisans bring to their craft. In this sense, The Sonic Atelier is conceived as a workshop of ideas, where sound is explored both as material and as meaning.

Curated by Francesca Guccione, composer, violinist, and researcher whose doctoral work explores the evolving role of today’s creators, the project is both an editorial platform and a laboratory of thought, where music is reflected upon as craft, philosophy, and lived experience.
